Founder & Therapist

Allie Spomer is a Licensed Professional Counselor dually licensed to practice independently in both Alabama (4223-AL) & Arizona (LPC-21335-AZ). Allie has been treating children and adolescents her entire career and is very passionate about these ages. She was honored to obtain her Masters in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona,

After college, Allie and her family moved to Daphne, AL to follow a new job opportunity for her husband. Once settled in Alabama, she realized that although many counselors existed, there was a need for counseling services on the Eastern Shore that focused primarily on the treatment of child and adolescent mental health issues, so she founded Life Anchors to fill that gap! Allie and her family have recently moved back to Arizona and she’s excited to open up Life Anchors in Arizona now as well.

Throughout Allie’s career as both a child counselor and case manager, she has been able to develop individual and group treatment plans. These plans allow children from all walks of life to conquer daily battles as they develop into adults. She is a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and Registered Play Therapist™ and has vast experience dealing with both acute trauma and general counseling issues.

Allie resides in the East Valley with her husband, two boys, and 4 sweet dogs. She loves to spend time with her family exploring and finding new things to do. Please contact us today to find out how Allie can help your child thrive if they could benefit from mental health support.

Therapy Dog

Tinsel-Lynn is the official therapy dog (in training) of Life Anchors. She is a 3-year-old AKC S.T.A.R. golden doodle and takin in specialized classes so that one day she can be a Canine Good Citizen and Certified Therapy Dog. Even though she is a pup in training, you may see her around the practice from time to time (as long as it's ok with you or your child)! Tinsel-Lynn's special ability is sensing emotion and is great at providing comfort during anxious or uncomfortable situations. She loves to play, give kisses, act silly and make people smile. She isn’t always in sessions, but you may see her pop in on occasion - and she’ll be excited to meet you!
